Bookable functions offer you the opportunity to equip your vehicle over the air with extra functions to match your needs. Depending on the model and equipment, these functions can be booked for a lifetime or activated for a limited period, ranging from one month up to three years. Activation can take place flexibly at any time from the vehicle, via the My BMW App or the BMW ConnectedDrive Store on the Web.

What happens with the functions that are already activated in the vehicle?

All functions already added at the time of purchase continue to be available without any change to the configurations you have selected.

How does activation of the “Bookable functions” take place?

Activation takes place with the purchase via the BMW ConnectedDrive Store. You can call up the store straight from your vehicle, via the My BMW App or on the Web and log in with your BMW ID. You can obtain an overview of the already activated functions via your account.

All vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 and 8 are enabled.* This currently covers more than 30 BMW models. To do this, select the following options in the vehicle menu: “My Vehicle” > “Settings” > “General Settings” > “Remote Software Upgrade”.
