Annual Vehicle Tax Renewal Information:

• The company will send a reminder letter 60 days in advance for customers to pay for tax renewal and service fees.
• The company will send an SMS reminder 15 days before the tax due date and on the actual due date. Please pay and submit supporting documents for tax renewal at least 15 days before the due date to avoid late tax renewal penalties.
• The company will send the vehicle/motorcycle tax sticker to the customer by mail and send an SMS with the parcel tracking number.
   

Documents Required for Annual Vehicle Tax Renewal:

• Copy of Motor Vehicle Accident Victims Protection Act (Por Ror Bor) policy schedule (if the customer renews Por Ror Bor themselves).
• Copy of Vehicle Inspection Certificate (Tor Ror Or) (valid for not more than 3 months) (For vehicles more than 7 years old, motorcycles more than 5 years old, or vehicles/motorcycles with overdue tax for more than 1 year).
• Please send supporting documents for vehicle tax renewal to BMW Call Center 1397 or Line @BMW Leasing.
   

Additional Information:

• If the customer pays late or submits supporting documents for vehicle tax renewal after the due date, resulting in the inability to process the tax renewal, a late penalty of 1% per month will be incurred (any fraction of a day is counted as 1 month).
• Annual vehicle tax can be paid up to 90 days in advance of the annual tax expiry date.
• If a vehicle's tax is overdue for 3 consecutive years, its registration will be suspended by the Department of Land Transport.

Transfer of Ownership Information:

• The company will send the ownership transfer document set to the customer 60 days in advance of the final installment payment.
• The company will send an SMS reminder about the ownership transfer to the customer 30 days in advance of the final installment payment.
• Customers sign the ownership transfer document set and supporting documents for transfer receipt and send them to the company, along with the registration transfer fee.
  
  • Application for Transfer and Receipt of Transfer (Recipient signs in 2 places / affix company seal for corporate entities).
  • Power of Attorney (Grantor signs in 1 place).
• For lease agreements, the vehicle must undergo inspection at the Department of Land Transport or Provincial Land Transport Office.
• Send documents to: BMW Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Head Office) / Vehicle Registration Department, 1875, 17th Floor, One Bangkok Tower 3, Rama 4 Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330. (Send back to the company at least 30 days before the final installment due date).
• The company will send the vehicle/motorcycle registration book to the customer by mail and send an SMS with the parcel tracking number.
   

Documents Required for Ownership Transfer (1 set each, with certified copies signed by hand as per the contract):
 

Individual:

1. Copy of ID Card (not expired) 1 set

2. Copy of House Registration 1 set

3. Copy of Name/Surname Change Certificate, Copy of Marriage Certificate, Copy of Divorce Certificate, Copy of Title Change Certificate (if any).

4. Proof of Annual Vehicle Tax Renewal / If vehicle tax is overdue, ownership transfer cannot be processed.
 

Corporate Entity:

1. Copy of Company Registration Certificate with objectives page (not older than 6 months) with company seal affixed 1 set.

2. Copy of ID Card of Authorized Director (not expired) 1 set.

3. If a director is a foreign national, attach a copy of their Visa and Passport (not expired) 1 set.

4. Proof of Annual Vehicle Tax Renewal / If vehicle tax is overdue, ownership transfer cannot be processed.

5. Withholding Tax Certificate 3%

• How to calculate withholding tax:
  • Ownership Transfer Service Fee: 2,700.00 Baht
  • Calculated before VAT: 2,523.37 Baht
  • 3% Withholding Tax: 75.70 Baht
  • Total Payment: 2,624.30 Baht

Foreign Lessee:

1. Copy of Passport (not expired) 1 set.

2. Copy of Visa (not expired) 1 set.

3. Original Residence Certificate or Copy of Work Permit (either one) (If using a copy of a work permit, it must include a photo page, renewal page, and residence in Thailand page or foreigner's address page (not expired)).
 

o   Additional information: If the lessee is a foreign national from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, or Vietnam, a copy of their driving license with a certified signature is required (1 set).
 

In Case of Lessee's Death: (Certified copies signed by the estate administrator)
 

Set 1:

1. Application for Transfer and Receipt of Transfer (Estate administrator signs as recipient in 2 places) 1 set.

2. Power of Attorney (Estate administrator signs as grantor in 1 place).

3. Copy of Lessee's Death Certificate 1 set.

4. Copy of Court Order Appointing Estate Administrator 1 set.

5. Copy of Estate Administrator's ID Card (not expired) 1 set.

6. Copy of Estate Administrator's House Registration 1 set.
 

Set 2:

1. Application for Transfer and Receipt of Transfer (Estate administrator signs as transferor and recipient in 3 places) 1 set.

2. Power of Attorney (Estate administrator signs as grantor in 2 places).

3. Copy of Court Order Appointing Estate Administrator 1 set.

4. Copy of Estate Administrator's ID Card (not expired) 2 sets.

5. Copy of Estate Administrator's House Registration 2 sets.
 

Additional Information:

• The vehicle must undergo inspection at the Department of Land Transport or Provincial Land Transport Office.
• The original court order appointing the estate administrator must be presented on the day of vehicle inspection to confirm with Department of Land Transport officials.

Using red plates must be accompanied by the vehicle logbook and used for no more than 30 days from the date of vehicle receipt while awaiting vehicle registration only.
 

Vehicle Registration Process for Customers:

• Contact the service center where you purchased the car to express your desire for vehicle registration.
• Once the service center has completed the registration, you will receive the tax sticker, license plates, and a copy of the vehicle registration book as proof of registration and annual vehicle tax renewal.
• Return the red plates to the service center where you purchased the car after receiving the registration documents.

Vehicle License Plate Exchange Information:

• Customers express their intent by filling out the "Request for Action Form."
• Customers pay the fee according to the registration payment form only.
• Submit documents for license plate exchange to: BMW Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Head Office) / Vehicle Registration Department, 1875, 17th Floor, One Bangkok Tower 3, Rama 4 Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330.

Individual:

• Power of Attorney for license plate exchange (Lessee signs in the grantor section) 2 sets.
• Copy of ID Card / Copy of House Registration 2 sets (Lessee certifies true copy, documents must not be expired).
• Consent Letter 2 sets:
  • Set 1: Lessee signs as consenting party 1 set.
  • Set 2: Lessee signs as requesting party 1 set.
• Original registration book of the vehicle whose license plate is to be exchanged.
• Power of Attorney 2 sets (Owner of the vehicle providing the license plate signs in the grantor section).
• Copy of ID Card / Copy of House Registration 2 sets of the owner of the vehicle providing the license plate, with certified true copies.
• Consent Letter 2 sets of the owner of the vehicle providing the license plate:
  • Set 1: Owner of the vehicle providing the license plate signs as consenting party 1 set (use the same copy signed by the lessee, signed crosswise).
  • Set 2: Owner of the vehicle providing the license plate signs as requesting party 1 set (use the same copy signed by the lessee, signed crosswise).
     

Corporate Entity Exchanging with Corporate Entity:

• Power of Attorney for license plate exchange (Authorized director signs in the grantor section) 2 sets, with company seal affixed.
• Copy of ID Card / Copy of House Registration 2 sets (Authorized director certifies true copy, documents must not be expired).
• Copy of Company Registration Certificate (not older than 6 months) (Authorized director certifies true copy) 2 sets, with company seal affixed.
• Consent Letter 2 sets:
  • Authorized director signs as consenting party 1 set, with company seal affixed.
  • Authorized director signs as requesting party 1 set, with company seal affixed.
• Original registration book of the vehicle whose license plate is to be exchanged.
• Power of Attorney 2 sets (Authorized director signs in the grantor section) 2 sets, with company seal affixed.
• Copy of ID Card / Copy of House Registration 2 sets (Authorized director certifies true copy, documents must not be expired), with certified true copies.
• Consent Letter 2 sets of the owner of the vehicle providing the license plate:
  • Set 1: Authorized director signs with company seal affixed as consenting party 1 set (use the same copy signed by the lessee, signed crosswise).
  • Set 2: Authorized director signs with company seal affixed as requesting party 1 set (use the same copy signed by the lessee, signed crosswise).
     

License Plate Exchange Fees:

• Standard plate + Standard plate: 4,000 Baht
• Standard plate + Auction plate: 4,500 Baht
• Auction plate + Auction plate: 4,500 Baht
   

Additional Information:

• If your vehicle tax is due and has not been renewed, customers can renew the tax themselves and send proof of renewal to the registration team or pay the tax and Por Ror Bor (Motor Vehicle Accident Victims Protection Act) fees to the company for renewal.
• For customers who wish for the company to renew their vehicle tax, if they have already renewed their Por Ror Bor, please contact BMW Call Center 1397 or Line @BMW Leasing to send a copy of the Por Ror Bor policy schedule.
