Electric cars range.

Convenient everyday driving.

Far. Further. Electric range. That's what determines how versatile an electric car is for everyday driving. BMW electric cars have high battery capacities, thanks to the use of innovative technologies. They are therefore both sustainable and high-Performance. For instance, the BMW i7 xDrive60 achieve a fully electric range of over 600 km according to the NEDC cycle. The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport as much as 620 km. Clever technologies on board further optimise the car's range. Charge-optimised routes automatically take over charge planning on longer journeys.

BMW electric cars increasing the range

How do I increase the range of a BMW electric car?

A simple touch of a button or voice command is all you need to switch a BMW electric car to Efficient Mode. Technologies that affect the drive work efficiently. The air conditioning and comfort functions are intelligently restricted.

BMW electric cars Economical driving efficiency coach

How to train yourself to have a more economical driving style.

With the BMW Operating System 8 or higher, the Efficiency Coach shows you how best to accelerate or coast to drive more efficiently. When you are driving efficiently, the power display will light up blue instead of grey. The range gained with an efficient driving style is shown on the information display.

Switching to maximum range while driving.

BMW electric cars My Mode Efficient

In Efficient Mode, the Max Range function provides greater range certainty. If, for example, an identified charging station cannot be used as planned, the range of your electric BMW can be increased by up to 25%. At the touch of a button and while driving.

BMW electric cars Function Max Range

The drive power is reduced and the maximum speed is limited to 90 km/h. Comfort services, such as air conditioning or seat heating, are intelligently reduced. As much energy as possible is directed towards forward propulsion. The Max Range function is available for many fully electric BMW models. [1] Official data for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, power consumption and electric range was determined in accordance with the prescribed measuring procedure and corresponds to European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the applicable version. For ranges, data determined as per WLTP takes into account any optional equipment (available on the German market in this case). For vehicles that have been newly type approved since 1 January 2021, only the official data according to WLTP exists. In addition, NEDC values are deleted from the certificates of conformity as of 1 January 2023 by EC regulation 2022/195. [2] Range depends on various factors, in particular: individual driving style, route characteristics, outside temperature, heating/air conditioning, pre-conditioning.

[3] The charging performance depends on the state of charge, ambient temperature, individual driving profile and use of auxiliary consumers. The ranges shown are based on the WLTP best case. The charging times apply to ambient temperatures of 23 degrees Celsius after a preceding drive and may differ depending on the usage behaviour.

[4] The recharged range in km after 10 minutes of High-Power-Charging was determined according to DIN70080 in the WLTP cycle. It depends on the vehicle equipment, individual driving profile, ambient temperature, charging status and the use of additional consumers.
