BMW Group Thailand partners with EVolt Technology to elevate public charging experience for BMW and MINI customers

Bangkok. BMW Group Thailand announces its latest collaboration with Evolt Technology Co., Ltd., Thailand's leading EV charging company, to expand the servicing network of EV charging stations for all owners of BMW and MINI plug-in hybrids and battery electric vehicles nationwide. Customers will be able to access the public charging service network, control charging sessions and make a payment conveniently via the EVolt app. BMW and MINI customers will also be able to enjoy special benefits available from May 1, 2022 for BMW customers and from June 1, 2022 for MINI customers. Owners of BMW and MINI Electrified vehicles will be able to access 600 charging outlets in 295 locations across the nation.

The effort will enhance convenience for BMW and MINI customers and promote the utilisation of public EV charging stations in order to pave the way for Thailand's transition to a low-carbon society.”

With this partnership between the two parties, owners of BMW and MINI electric vehicles will be able to access 600 charging outlets in 295 locations across the nation including Evolt Technology and charging stations from various partners such as EleX by EGAT, ChargeNow, and charging stations at BMW and MINI authorised dealers.


Only customers who own BMW or MINI PHEV and BEV vehicles from the authorised dealers will benefit from exclusive offers while enjoying the Evolt Technology services which include BMW concierge service. Customers will be able to use the service to obtain important information such as charging station locations and route planning, regardless of provider, by dialing 02-114-7343 or contacting the BMW Group Thailand’s call centre,1397. Customers that call Evolt Technology directly will be requested to verify their vehicle ownership by providing their VIN number.


Moreover, BMW and MINI BEV owners will also enjoy a 20% discount when topping up their credit on the EVolt app. Customers may now register for the exclusive offers by downloading the EVolt app in Google Play or Apple Store, entering personal information, car brand, and VIN number, and the privilege will be instantly applied to the registered VIN. These two offers will be available from May 1 for BMW and June 1, 2022, for MINI.

    BMW Group Thailand  

    BMW Group Thailand, a subsidiary of BMW AG, Germany, was established on the 3rd October 1998. The four entities of BMW Group Thailand are BMW (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with responsibility for wholesales & marketing of BMW Group products, BMW Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with responsibility for BMW and BMW Motorrad local production, BMW Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with responsibility for financial services offerings to both wholesale and retail customers, and BMW Parts Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., with responsibility for supplying components for the assembly of BMW Motorrad vehicles at BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand’s Plant in Rayong.

    In 2021, BMW Group Thailand recorded a stable performance with 11,032 BMW and MINI registrations. A total of 9,982 BMW vehicles and 1,050 MINI vehicles were registered last year. BMW Motorrad Thailand maintained its performance in 2021 with 1,197 motorcycle registrations.

    On the production side, the BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand plant was founded on BMW Group’s strong belief in the growth potential of Asian markets and Thailand in particular with its unique location, strong manufacturing base, and ready supply of skilled automotive labor, being an automotive hub for ASEAN. On-going investment has been put into the expansion of plant Rayong in terms of assembling processes, aiming to meet growing customer demand. In addition, with approximately 4 billion Thai Baht representing the amount of annual purchasing in Thailand, the BMW Global Purchasing office has been established in Thailand. This is to source various components from local suppliers in Thailand and the broader ASEAN region, in order to supply the entire BMW production network of 31 production and assembly facilities, located in 15 countries worldwide.  

    BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand produces the following 18 models: BMW 2 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7. For BMW Motorrad, the BMW F 900 R, BMW F 900 XR, BMW F 750 GS, BMW F 850 GS, BMW F 850 GS Adventure, BMW R 1250 GS, BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, BMW S 1000 R and BMW S 1000 RR are also locally assembled at the plant.
