BMW THAILAND EXPANDS 2 SERIES LINEUP WITH NEW BMW 220i GRAN COUPE SPORT AS EASE YOUR LIFE CAMPAIGN OFFERS 0% DOWN PAYMENT FOR ALL MODELS
Bangkok. BMW Thailand is introducing the latest member of the BMW 2 Series to Thai shores with the arrival of the new BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport in CKD form – available at an attractive price of 1,999,000 THB (VAT incl. with BSI Standard Package). To further excite the luxury vehicle segment, BMW Thailand is also announcing a special “Ease Your Life” campaign to offer 0% down payment for all models from now until 30th June 2021.
Mr. Galdric Donnezan, Sales and Network Development Director, BMW Thailand, said, “Given the strong reception for the previously launched BMW 220i Gran Coupe M Sport, BMW Thailand is now ready to introduce another version of the 2 Series with the new BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport. This new variant still flaunts the dynamic driving capabilities and uniquely sleek looks that customers have come to expect from the 2 Series, and we are confident in its capacity to delight Thai motorists. At the same time, BMW Thailand is responding to current market conditions with the introduction of a special Ease Your Life campaign that offers 0% down payment offer on all new BMW purchases as we seek to make owning BMW cars simpler than ever for our customers.
THE NEW BMW 220i GRAN COUPE SPORT
Priced at 1,999,000 THB (VAT incl. with BSI Standard Package)
The new BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport retains the trademark dashing look that delivers a new take on the classical sedan with a fresh dose of individuality, aesthetic appeal and emotional engagement – complete with exclusive details all its own.
The BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport’s standout characteristic is its dynamically stretched silhouette, which – like the frameless side windows for the four doors – is lifted from the classical coupe blueprint. The car’s sport, low and broad-set stance on the road exudes confidence with a dynamic front end that delivers a fresh take on classical BMW icons. The slightly angled headlights with prominent BMW four-eyed face draw attention to the familiar BMW kidney grille, which now features contoured kidney bars that provide a three-dimensional effect. Full-LED headlights come equipped as standard, lending the car an extremely modern expression.
Precise lines in the flanks of the BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport emphasise the agile proportions and hallmark elegance of a modern BMW coupe. The roofline’s graceful flow, long window graphic, and extended shoulder line combine to deliver an elongating effect on the body, while a distinct side taper at the C-pillar – together with powerfully contoured rear wheel arches – gives the car a broad stance on the road. The slim, horizontally extending rear lights reinforce this impression, especially in tandem with the High-gloss Black element connecting the two-section lights at the centrally positioned BMW badge. Like the headlights, the rear lights are full-LED as standard.
Despite its low-slung, sporty appearance, passengers are well catered for space-wise thanks to the 430-litre load compartment, which can be expanded in many ways. The BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport is also fitted with 17-inch light alloy wheels in Double-Spoke style.
Powering the BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. Paired with a highly sophisticated 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch, the engine produces up to 141 kW/192 hp of power and a peak torque of 280 Nm from 1,350 to 4,600 rpm. This gives the car a 0-100 km/h sprint speed of 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 238 km/h.
The interior of the BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport combines sporting flair with exquisite materials and a use of space designed with both family life and long-distance journeys in mind. Equipped with BMW Live Cockpit Plus and BMW Connected Package Plus, the driver-focused cockpit delivers vital information to the driver without requiring them to take their eyes off the road – from the fully digital 5.1-inch Info Display instrument cluster to the high-resolution 8.8-inch, touch-sensitive Control Display that is centrally mounted and angled towards the driver in customary BMW fashion.
This driver-focused layout is further enhanced visually by trim strips which run towards the driver and different graining effects and textures on the instrument panel and behind the steering wheel. Trim strips on the instrument panel and door panels are finished as standard in 'Illuminated Brooklyn’ style. The BMW 220i Gran Coupe Sport boasts its sporty appearance with sport seats in Dakota leather that can be adjusted electrically, with interior ambient light package that makes the ride even more special.
