Bangkok. BMW Group Thailand is continuing its commitment to the freedom of choice with 3 new additions to an already diverse line-up. Leading the line is the new BMW X6 xDrive30d M Sport, which brings the adventurous spirit of a Sports Activity Vehicle together with the head-turning looks of a coupe. The sleek yet muscular SAC is joined by the first-ever BMW M8 Competition Coupe, with its perfect fusion of dynamic prowess and luxury, and the BMW 630i GT M Sport, a new profile for the grand tourer with a distinctive blend of driving pleasure, long-distance comfort and functionality.
Likewise, MINI and BMW Motorrad are pitching in with their own similarly diverse range, from the MINI Cooper S Countryman Hightrim with updated transmission and the all-electric MINI Cooper SE to special offers for BMW Motorrad bikes across the G, C, F, and R families that are sure to tick every box for motorbike enthusiasts.
Mr. Alexander Baraka, President, BMW Group Thailand, said, “While the global situation we are all facing together has brought changes to how we operate and communicate, what has not changed is the commitment we have to continue innovating in the automotive space. We are moving ahead with these new model announcements to give BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad fans something to look forward to. Also debuting today is the first-ever BMW M8 Competition Coupe, the range-topping, high-performance sports car that bears the most powerful engine ever developed for the M family. We are also launching the revamped profile of the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo to add more variety with an alternative engine choice that upholds the spectacular driving experience provided by this GT car. For MINI, the new MINI Cooper S Countryman Hightrim with new transmission is being offered at the same value with enhanced technology, while BMW Motorrad brings an array of motorcycles to answer the eclectic needs of riders.
“For customers who have come to expect the excitement of special offers in the Motor Show every March, we are also introducing special offers across all three brands,” concluded Mr. Baraka.

The all-new BMW X6 xDrive30d M Sport
Price: THB 7,299,000 (VAT incl. with BSI Standard Package)
Roughly a decade ago, BMW took the innovative step of blending the signature attributes of a Sports Activity Vehicle with the DNA of a classical coupe – and the all-new Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) class was born. The crisply expressive design language of the third-generation BMW X6 underscores its confident, commanding and muscular appearance.
The new BMW X6 has grown by 26 millimetres in exterior length over the outgoing model to 4,935 millimetres and by 15 millimetres in width to 2,004 millimetres. It now stands at 1,696 millimetres, 6 millimetres lower than the previous model, and combines dynamically stretched proportions with exceptional visual muscularity. The car’s wheelbase has increased by 42 millimetres to 2,975 millimetres. The large, single-frame BMW kidney grille now approaches the headlights at a clearly defined angle, while kidney grille illumination is available for the very first time as standard equipment to add a striking and exclusive flourish to the exterior design. The illumination is activated by opening or closing the car, but the driver can switch it on and off manually too. This lighting function for the kidney grille is also available while driving.
The BMW X6 xDrive30d employs a six-cylinder in-line diesel with 195 kW/265 hp at 4,000 rpm delivering maximum torque at 620 Nm at 2,000 – 2,500 rpm. Working in tandem with the eight-speed Sport Steptronic transmission, the new BMW X6 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h within 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230 km/h. The latest generation of the BMW xDrive system once again splits drive torque between the front and rear wheels variably and as the situation demands – only now with even greater precision and speed
The sporty responses of the new BMW X6 is enhanced by a double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle giving it the ideal suspension tools to deliver dynamism and ride comfort on the road, plus unshakable traction off the beaten track. Dynamic Damper Control is included as standard.
The flanks of the new X6 are defined by familiar BMW proportions, a crisply drawn character line and the dynamic roofline. 22-inch M light-alloy wheels Double Spoke Style can be found within the subtly hexagon-shaped wheel arches. The Air Breathers in body colour combine with the striking wheel arches to underline the exterior’s dynamic looks. The rear of the new BMW X6 has an extremely athletic silhouette with powerful shoulders, which is further accentuated by the wide L-shaped LED rear lights. The tailgate is integrated seamlessly and therefore almost invisibly into the car’s horizontal lines.
The interior of the new BMW X6 is geared squarely to delivering an exclusive and dynamic driving experience. The design of the cockpit, complete with the new arrangement and design of the control elements, embodies a progressive re-interpretation of the driver focus for which BMW is renowned. Together with the raised seating position, this design approach gives the driver the best possible overview of the driving task. The M Sport package heightens the dynamically intense character of the new BMW X6 with an M Sport steering wheel and M-specific pedals along with Exclusive Carbon Fibre interior trim strips and an anthracite BMW Individual headliner. The new BMW X6 offers a high degree of variability thanks to the 40:20:40 split rear seat backrests that can be folded down to increase boot capacity from 580 to 1,530 litres. Highlight equipment features include BMW Gesture Control, wireless charging cupholder temperate, the Panorama glass roof, and the Harmann & Kardon Surround Sound System.
Fresh from the addition of myriad new functions, the systems do an extremely effective job in enhancing comfort and safety. Standard specification for the new BMW X6 includes Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. The Driving Assistant Professional with steering and lane control assistant with lane keeping assistant is also equipped to enhance safety and comfort. BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is on hand to help the driver. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional in the new BMW X6 combines a new display and operating concept with unbeatable connectivity. It includes a high-resolution instrument cluster and a Control Display, both with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches.
The First-Ever BMW M8 Competition Coupe
Price: THB 17,999,000 (VAT incl. with BSI Standard Package)
The new BMW M8 Competition Coupe provides a fresh take on the characteristic M feeling that translates into unbeatable directional stability even in extremely dynamic situations.
The new model draws the energy for its exceptional performance exploits from the most powerful engine ever developed for a BMW M GmbH car. The high-revving V8 unit with M TwinPower Turbo technology develops maximum output of 460 kW/625 hp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 750 Nm at 1,800-5,860 rpm. The new BMW M8 Competition Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The high-performance power unit teams up with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, and the engine’s power is channelled to the road via the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. A sophisticated cooling system ensures optimum operating temperatures at all times, both in everyday use on urban routes and when the cars are stretching their legs on the track.
The Drivelogic button on the newly designed selector lever allows the driver to select from three modes with specific shift characteristics for particularly efficient, sporty or ultra-dynamic driving. There are also M gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. Another factor in the enthralling performance of the new BMW M8 model is the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with its rear-biased setup. The centrally controlled interaction between M xDrive and the Active M Differential ensures loss-free transfer of the engine’s huge power to the road. The BMW M8 Competition Coupe is also equipped as standard with M-specific Adaptive suspension including electronically controlled dampers and electromechanical M Servotronic steering. The DSC system hooks up with the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and the Active M Differential and also offers M Dynamic mode. This mode allows a greater degree of wheel slip and combines with the M xDrive system’s rear-biased setup to deliver an exceptionally sporty drive complete with controlled drifts through corners.
The exclusive aura of the BMW M8 Competition Coupe is further enhanced by model-specific features geared to the functional requirements of high-performance sports cars. Teaming up with the BMW kidney grille, the three extra-large elements of the front apron’s intake satisfy the engine, transmission and braking system’s need for cooling air. The grille features the black double bars familiar from other M models and displays the “M8” logo in High-gloss Chrome. With their sophisticated light sources, the slim twin headlights on either side of the BMW kidney grille encapsulate the focused look reminiscent of BMW stablemates past and present. The BMW M8 Competition Coupe is fitted with BMW Laserlight and 20-inch Star Spoke forged M light-alloy wheels. Lavishly flared front wheel arches, M gills in the front side panels, aerodynamically optimised exterior mirrors, a rear spoiler and a rear apron with diffuser elements in a contrasting colour create a fitting visual showcase for the dynamic potential and exclusive status of the new M contender. The double-bubble contour of its carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof reminisces classic racing cars.
The interior of the new high-performance sports car brings together an M‑specific cockpit design and progressive luxury. Standard specification includes full-leather trim, the BMW Display Key, the BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific content, the Driving Assistant Professional, the Parking Assistant Plus and the BMW Live Cockpit Professional (with navigation system and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant). Its fully digital screen grouping comprises a high-resolution instrument cluster behind the steering wheel with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches and a 10.25-inch Control Display.
The new Setup button on the centre console enables direct access to the settings for the engine, dampers, steering, M xDrive and braking system so they can be tailored to personal preferences and the situation at hand. Another new feature is the M Mode button on the centre console, which the driver can use to adjust the driver assistance systems and the displays in the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display. M Mode allows the driver to activate ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings.

The new MINI Cooper SE
Price: THB 2,290,000 (VAT incl. with MSI Standard Package)
The new MINI Cooper SE draws power from an electric motor instead of a petrol or diesel engine, enabling it to achieve emissions-free mobility. The compact unit with integrated power electronics and transmission is positioned in the front section of the support frame by means of a solid tube structure. The high-voltage battery with model-specific configuration is made up of lithium-ions cells subdivided into 12 modules. They form a T-shaped unit positioned in the vehicle floor, providing a gross energy content of 32.6 kWh. The position of its high-voltage battery is placed deep in the vehicle floor between the front seats and below the rear seats. As a result of this arrangement there are no limits to the use of the luggage compartment space as compared to the conventionally powered model versions. In order to ensure the relevant ground clearance for the high-voltage battery installed in the vehicle floor, the body of the new MINI Cooper SE is positioned some 18 millimetres higher than in the conventionally powered model.
The motor of the new MINI Cooper SE mobilises a maximum output of 135 kW/184 hp. Its maximum torque of 270 Nm is already available from standstill, as is characteristic of electric motors. The new MINI Cooper SE accelerates from standing to 60 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Over the first 60 metres it effortlessly keeps pace with conventionally powered sports cars. The purely electrically powered MINI accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds; its top speed is limited to 150 km/h. Model-specific lithium-ion battery enables range of up to 217 kilometres (NEDC Test Standard). The new MINI Cooper SE is fitted as standard with acoustic pedestrian protection. A distinctive sound created especially for the MINI Cooper SE is generated via a speaker system in the low speed range. All components of the electric drive are protected by means of model-specific structural features and immediately switched off in the event of a collision.
The new MINI Cooper SE also has an innovative DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system for hallmark brand riding fun without loss of traction. The first purely electrically powered MINI also enables the driver to adapt the vehicle setting to the current situation on the road as well as to their own personal preferences. There are four modes to choose from in the MINI Cooper SE – Sport, MID, GREEN, and GREEN+. Also part of the characteristic driving experience in an electrically powered BMW Group model is the so-called one-pedal feeling or regenerative brake, which sees the vehicle perceptibly decelerate once the driver removes their foot from the accelerator.
The high-voltage battery of the new MINI Cooper SE can be charged using either the standard charging cable or a MINI ELECTRIC Wallbox with a maximum capacity of 11 kW – to 80 percent in two and a half hours, and 100 percent in three and a half hour. The charging unit of the new MINI Cooper SE is designed for a maximum charging capacity of 50 kW, allowing an 80 per cent charge to be achieved in just 36 minutes. Its charging connection is designed for AC and DC charging using Type 2 and CCS Combo 2 plugs. Above the connection, a charge level indicator displays orange signals for initialisation, pulsating yellow light for an ongoing charging operation, and green light for a fully charged battery.
In the interior, the new model comes as standard with seats in Double Stripe Carbon Black fabric, model-specific gear selector lever on the centre console. The cockpit is geared with a model-specific instrument cluster consisting of a 5.5-inch colour screen in Black Panel design behind the steering wheel providing information on the charge level of the high-voltage battery, the currently selected MINI Driving Mode, the status of the driver assistance systems and Check Control messages. The 6.5-inch touchscreen in the central instrument displays MINI Connected services that are specially geared towards electromobility such as the eDrive screen that provides information on the current flow of energy and the range as well as offering ways of increasing the vehicle range.
The exterior design bears precisely applied accentuations to indicate its future-oriented drive system. The charge connection is located above the right-hand rear wheel – exactly where the fuel filler neck is positioned on the conventionally powered MINI 3 Door. An embossed MINI Electric logo marks the difference in terms of energy input. Yellow versions of this signet appear on the side scuttles, as well as on the tailgate and front radiator grill. A yellow decorative bar on the grill and exterior mirror caps are finished in the same colour, thereby rounding off the model-specific design features. The MINI Cooper SE is fitted as standard with LED headlamps and 17-inch light alloy wheels in MINI Electric Corona Spoke design with runflat tyres available exclusively for the new MINI Cooper SE.

There are two riding modes, ‘Rain’ and ‘Road’, available as standard while the ‘Riding Modes Pro’ feature offers additional riding modes – ‘Dynamic’, ‘Dynamic Pro’, ‘Enduro’, and ‘Enduro Pro’ – for even more scenarios. ASC (Automatic Stability Control) ensures a high level of riding safety by ensuring the best possible traction, while the set-off assistant and Hill Start Control are included in the safety package to enable the bike to set off conveniently on slopes. DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and ABS Pro provide the rider with even greater confidence when taking on corners, while the new DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) provides additional safety when braking in difficult situations.
