BMW Financial Services Thailand sets to enhance exceptional services in 2020 after a grand success in previous year
BMW Financial Services Thailand – led by Mr. Björn Antonsson, Chief Executive Officer – presented 2019 achievements and new services for 2020 at BMW Group Thailand Annual Press Conference 2020.
Bangkok – BMW Financial Services Thailand is looking to build upon another year of record-setting performance with new service innovations that make it easier and more convenient than ever to own a BMW, MINI, or BMW Motorrad vehicle in 2020 – including live chat and information services via LINE at @BMWleasing and the new 1397 hotline for customer inquiries, which will be ready for service in April this year.
Thanks to the extended reach provided by intuitive service channels such as LINE and the call centre, BMW Financial Services Thailand won the trust of customers nationwide with new business volume totalling 16.25 billion baht and portfolio value reaching 50 billion baht in 2019 – both new records for the company. Freedom Choice, the refreshingly flexible financing program launched for BMW and MINI customers in 2018, also saw a 300% uptake in customers throughout 2019 as the market begins to show significant signs of shifting from the traditional vehicle ownership model to one based on usage – a direction widely regarded as the future of the automotive industry.
Mr. Björn Antonsson, Chief Executive Officer, BMW Financial Services Thailand, said, “Elevating service quality and accessibility is key to our success throughout almost 20 years in Thailand. Having already amassed over 500,000 friends through our official LINE@ account along with 150,000 call centre interactions last year, we are hard at work on enhancing both service channels to be even more informative and convenient than ever before.”
Customers can discover useful information and quick services from BMW Financial Services Thailand through LINE at @BMWleasing including;
- Checking outstanding balance
- Information on payment channels
- Updating personal information
- Information on finance products, including Freedom Choice

BMW Thailand’s first set of LINE stickers, designed in collaboration with artist Sahred Toy, also debuted in 2019 under the title “BMW’s World”. BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad owners and prospective customers can stay tuned for future additions to the range of LINE services – including exclusive promotional offers.
Also on the horizon are the new four-digit call centre number, 1397, that will soon debut in April this year to make financial service inquiries just a matter of a few taps on the dialler, and upcoming special campaigns that seek to accelerate Thailand’s continuing journey towards electrified mobility.

In 2018, BMW Group Thailand reached new all-time highs with 12,036 BMW deliveries, representing a 20% increase year-on-year and the highest growth rate across BMW’s global networks for the second consecutive year. The sales of BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) also achieved a record-high growth rate of 122% in Thailand over the past year. While MINI and BMW Motorrad also achieved the new record in sales with 1,051 vehicles MINI deliveries (growing sales by 4% year-on-year) and 2,154 BMW Motorcycles deliveries (growing sales by 8% year-on-year).
