BMW Thailand tees off qualifiers for BMW Golf Cup International 2019 to seek out top amateur golfers for national finals

Nakhon Pathom. BMW Group Thailand – led by Mr. Christian Wiedmann, President – recently held the qualifying round of the BMW Golf Cup International 2019 tournament at Nikanti Golf Club, Nakhon Pathom province. This qualification round will see 126 amateur golfers from 2,736 participants nationwide progress to the National Final, which will conclude with the selection of three winning players to represent Thailand in the World Final round.

 

The BMW Golf Cup International Qualifying 2019 also saw the first hole-in-one of the tournament by Khun Piyapat Maneesathian, who scored an ace at the 180-yard 5th hole and eligible for a BMW 320d GT M SPORT valued at 2,999,000 baht.

 

In addition, BMW Thailand has also invited participating golfers to donate for charity for the third consecutive year. Proceedings derived from the BMW Golf Cup International 2019 will be contributed to Care4Water and other foundations.

 

The 3 golfers representing Team Thailand in the World Final of the BMW Golf Cup International 2018, which was held at Cabo del Sol Golf Resort on the southern coast of Los Cabos in Mexico on 18 – 23 March 2019, competed with 34 other nations and secured a third-place finish with a total score of 288 points in the National Team Category. In addition, Khun Pornsawan Chansuke was the runner-up in the World Final’s Category Lady with a score of 106.
