BMW Group Thailand – led by Mr. Christian Wiedmann, President – held an exclusive dinner for the unveiling of the all-new BMW M850i xDrive Coupe in the presence of distinguished guests and celebrities from across Thailand’s business landscape. Hosted at Nai Lert Park Heritage Home, the event was presided over by Ms. Hildegard Wortmann, Senior Vice President Region Asia-Pacific, BMW Group.

BMW Group Thailand is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Uwe Quaas as Managing Director of BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand, effective 1st October 2018.

Mr. Uwe replaces Mr. Jeffrey D. Gaudiano who has completed his tenure in Thailand and is taking up a new position as the Head of Steering Production, Production System, and Logistics at BMW Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, the USA.

BMW Thailand recorded its strongest performance ever for the first three quarters of the year with 8,304 vehicles delivered to customers – a remarkable 18.2% increase from the same period last year and already outpacing full-year sales in 2016. Globally, BMW Group’s growth under its forward-looking vision of mobility continues to gather pace as worldwide sales over the first nine months of 2018 grew by 1.3% to 1,834,810 units.

The BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2018,
recently held at the Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin, concluded with the selection of three national winners to represent Thailand at the BMW Golf Cup International World Final 2018, which will be held at Cabo del Sol Golf Resort on the southern coast of Los Cabos in Mexico on 18 – 23 March 2019.

BMW Group Thailand has set its sights on another milestone in Thailand’s journey towards a future of electro-mobility with local high voltage battery production – which comprises production of the battery modules and the battery itself – from 2019 onward at a new production facility located in WHA Chonburi Industrial Estate 2.

BMW Group Thailand and authorized dealer Nithiboon officially unveiled a new showroom and service center for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad in Phitsanulok province after decades of successful business in the lower northern region. The fleet will serve as official limousine shuttles for renowned international and Thai artists participating in this major exhibition from October 19, 2018 to February 3, 2019.

BMW Thailand recently celebrated the delivery of six units of the BMW 520d Sport to Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, a leading five-star hotel located in the heart of Bangkok, to serve hotel guests with world-class comfort and reinforce the hotel’s international reputation as the leader in luxury hospitality.

BMW Thailand held the third lucky draw to determine the final winning customer in its “GET OUT THERE. BMW xDAYS” campaign. The final 1-million-baht prize went to Khun Siriwat Laisuebsak, a lucky customer from Barcelona Motor who purchased a BMW between June 1 and August 31, 2018.

Chaipattana Foundation led by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul (4th left), Secretary-General accepted a donation of 4.76 million baht from BMW Group Thailand – led by Mr. Christian Wiedmann (5th left), President. The funds were presented under BMW Group Thailand’s “Good Deeds for the King” initiative, derived from golfers participating in BMW Golf Cup International 2018 which is the world’s largest international tournament series for amateur golfers.

BMW Group has appointed Ms. Ritu Chandy as the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Financial Services for its Asia Pacific operations effective 1 July 2018. Ms. Chandy is based in Singapore and replaces Mr. Serge Naudin, who has relocated to China as President, BMW Group Financial Services, Region China. Ms. Chandy is responsible for the Financial Services business across seven countries in the Asia Pacific region – Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand

BMW Group Thailand announced the appointment of Mr. Bernhard Teriet as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1st July 2018. Mr. Bernhard succeeds Mr. Ruediger Radscheck who takes up a new position as Chief Financial Officer of BMW Group Russia.

BMW Group Thailand and German Auto, an authorized BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealer, are strengthening their aftersales services with the opening of the German Auto Service Factory, the first BMW service factory in Thailand.

BMW Group Thailand led by Mr. Christian Wiedmann, President, recently held the qualifying round of the BMW Golf Cup International 2018 tournament at Nikanti Golf Club, Nakhon Pathom province. This qualification round will see 120 amateur golfers from 2,400 participants nationwide progress to the National Final, which will conclude with the selection of three winning players to represent Thailand at the BMW Golf World Final round.
