The BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence brings together a 190kW/258hp BMW TwinPower Turbo combustion engine – the most powerful four-cylinder engine ever fitted in a series-produced BMW – and an electric drive system with a maximum output of 83kW/113hp to provide thrillingly instantaneous power delivery with a total system output of 240kW/326hp and a combined peak torque of 500Nm.

When operating only on electric power, BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence can cover a maximum range of 41 kilometres. The electric motor is fully integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. This ensures that pure-electric driving, the dynamics-enhancing electric boost function and the recuperation of braking energy are all extremely efficient.

The BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence comes with intelligent all-wheel-drive system to

ensure supreme traction, optimized directional stability and enhanced agility through enthusiastically taken corners in all weather and road conditions.

Perfectly executed power distribution between the front and rear wheels gives BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence extremely dynamic accelerative ability, with the journey from rest to 100 km/h completed in 5.3 seconds yet the petrol consumption is just 47.6 kilometers per liters combined, while the associated CO2 emission is 49 grams per kilometer. In all-electric mode, the BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence has a pure-electric top speed of 140 km/h.

BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence also comes equipped as standard with the newly designed Driving Experience Control switch on the centre console. BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence – THB 5,839,000 (VAT incl. with BSI Standard Package)

The BMW 7 Series‘ sophisticated, precision-honed chassis technology gives the BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence exceptional driving dynamics and ride quality. BMW EfficientLightweight helps to reduce the weight of the BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence by up to 130 kilograms compared to previous generation counterparts.

At the center of it all is the body structure with Carbon Core, an inheritance from the development of the revolutionary BMW i8 hybrid sports car. BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence combines ultra-lightweight Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) with steel and aluminum in an intelligent body concept that vastly improves the strength and rigidity of the passenger cell while at the same time significantly reducing vehicle weight.

Powered by a 3.0-liter straight six diesel plant with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence is capable of delivering up to 265hp and 620Nm torque to its wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.2 seconds while still offering passengers genuine, relaxing pleasure on the road.

The BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence features the air flap which is only open when there is an increased cooling requirement, remaining closed the rest of the time. This improves aerodynamics as well as giving the front end an even more eye-catching appearance due to the visibly increased number of bars in the large BMW kidney grille. The headlight units

extend up as far as the grille, while the light graphic of the familiar BMW twin circularheadlights is leveled off at its upper and lower edges, giving the car a purposeful and focused look.

The BMW 730Ld Pure Excellence’s iDrive operating system is controlled by a touch display, allowing users to operate the system in the same way as modern electronic devices. In addition to using the Controller to operate the system in familiar style, its functions can also be selected and activated by touching the screen’s surface.

The iDrive system’s functionality is further enhanced by new BMW gesture control. Hand movements detected by a 3D sensor control infotainment functions in an extremely intuitive and user-friendly fashion. Gestures can be used for a number of functions, including controlling the volume in audio applications and accepting or rejecting incoming telephone calls.

Both the 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence and 730Ld Pure Excellence offer a high level of standard specifications, including adaptive LED headlights, the BMW Display Key, the navigation system Professional, and an iDrive operating system expanded to include a touchscreen function for the Control Display and BMW gesture control feature. Both the front and rear seats come with comfort seats and active seat ventilation as well as massage and seat heating functions. Maximizing personal wellbeing in the rear compartment, meanwhile, are the Executive Lounge Seating and the Sky Lounge Panorama glass roof.
