BMW Motorrad Thailand is ready to showcase its full range of BMW motorcycles, including the 3 winning models from the Car & Bike of the Year 2017, along with 6 new models and exclusive promotional offers in the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show at Challenge Hall, IMPACT Muangthong Thani from March 29 to April 6, 2017.

This year, BMW Motorrad Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to deliver products of genuine excellence for all customers – a fact apparent in victories across three categories of the Bike of the Year 2017 awards: Best Sport Bike Heavyweight (BMW S 1000 RR), Best Adventure Bike Heavyweight (BMW S 1000 XR), and Best Cruiser Heavyweight (BMW R nineT).
The new BMW S 1000 RR
The new BMW S 1000 RR features the latest ABS Pro that increases safety and keeps motorcycle under control even during brake manoeuvres at banking angle. The razor-sharp profile comes with
various standard options including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Gear Shift Assistant Pro, enables upshifts and downshifts without operation of the clutch, Riding Mode Pro and Dynamic Damping Control (DDC)
The water- and oil-cooled 4 cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine boasts a powerful 999 cc capacity and a compression ratio of 13.0 : 1. Electronic injection seamlessly delivers 146kW (199 hp) at 13,500 rpm, and impressive max torque of 113 Nm at 10,500 rpm epitomizes the very essence of a Superbike. The BMW S 1000 RR features electronic injection, multiplate clutch in oil baht, anti-hopping clutch, 6-speed gearbox and chain drive.
The new BMW S 1000 RR comes in 3 special shades including Two-Tone (Grey Metallic/ Black Storm Metallic and Racing Red/Light White) and Tricolor (Light White/Lupin Blue Metallic/Racing Red).

BMW K 1600 GT take 6-cylinder performance and luxurious comfort for dynamic touring to the very highest level. The highlight features include the new reverse assist offering more convenient maneuvering, Adaptive Headlight, Control Bluetooth interface, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic ESA, Keyless ride, Gear Shift Assistant Pro, Preparation for GPS device, ABS Pro and many more.

A true heritage big bike, the BMW R nineT stands out with distinctive looks inspired by the legendary BMW R32. Today, BMW Motorrad is launching two new takes on the R nineT with purer, more contemporary designs.
The BMW R nineT Pure embodies the essence of the purist, classic roadster with design draws on
a blend of both classic and modern stylistic elements perfect for riding pleasure on country roads. Compact motorcycle construction is combined with high-end details such as footrests and fork bridges in forged aluminum. The fuel tank and front mudguard of the BMW R nineT Pure are finished in Catalano Grey non-metallic in combination with black for the suspension and drivetrain, which emphasizes the classical and powerful character of the R nineT Pure as genuine heritage bike.
The BMW R nineT Racer deliberately arouses memories of the sports motorcycles popular in the early 1970s. Crouched, compact and elongated, it conveys a sense of old-school sporty aspiration with its strikingly short half-fairing, hump seat, stub handlebars and set-back footrests. The frame finished in Aluminium Silver prominently presents an architectural contrast with the black drivetrain, underscoring the standing of the R nineT Racer as an old-school sports motorcycle designed for dynamic riding fun on winding roads.

The new BMW R nineT comes with a new design of speedometer and wired spoke wheels, as well as Blackstorm metallic in conjunction with a black frame and drivetrain. The bike is powered by a 1,170cc flat-twin boxer engine with air- and oil-based cooling capable of producing up to 81kW / 110hp at 7,550rpm and 119 Nm torque at 6,000rpm with 12.0:1 compression ratio. The bike also comes equipped with an electronically-controlled fuel injection system, single dry plate clutch, 6-speed hydraulic transmission, and driveshaft. Additionally, BMW R nineT Scrambler comes with an upright seating position and matching high handlebars for comfortable riding. Off-road tires and higher-positioned exhaust pipes further emphasize the bike’s character.

The new BMW R 1200 R

The dynamic performance of BMW R 1200 R is offered by standard options for Thailand including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic ESA, Keyless Ride, Gear Shift Assistant Pro, Riding mode Pro and Tyre pressure control.
The R 1200 R is powered by air/liquid-cooled four stroke flat twin engine with 1,170 cc capacity and a compression ratio of 12.0:1. Electronic injection delivers 92 kW (125 hp) at 7,750 rpm and max torque of 125 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine combines well with 6-speed gearbox, shaft drive, telescopic upside-down fork front suspension, aluminium swing arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever and speong preload hydraulically adjustable at handwheel.
The new BMW R 1200 R is available in Light White / Cordoba Blue colour.
BMW R 1200 GS Trophy Edition

The world’s first motorbike the BMW R 1200 GS features GS Trophy Edition package which is the same accessories used in the racing bikes presented International GS Trophy including headlight guard, cylinder head cover guard, aluminium engine guard, footbrake lever, enduro footrest, crash bar, pocket for rear seat, Metzeler Karoo3 off-road tyres. The package also offers Southeast Asia Sticker that can be customized with customer name and preferred number.
BMW R 1200 GS Trophy Edition is powered by a 1,170cc four-stroke, water-cooled boxer engine that produces up to 125hp at 7,750rpm and reaches a maximum torque of 125Nm at 6,500rpm.
BMW S 1000 R HP Line

The dynamic roadster BMW S 1000 R comes with HP accessories that include HP Clutch - Brake Lever, HP Carbon Wheel Cover, HP Carbon airbox Cover, Akrapovic Sports Silencer and HP Front Footrest System. S 1000 XR is powered by a straight-four shared by the BMW S 1000 R roadster, producing up to 160hp (118kW) at 11,000rpm and 112Nm maximum torque at 9,250rpm. Additionally, the bike’s Riding Mode Pro feature combines well with Dynamic Traction Control to take ride safety to the next level, while Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) allows the S 1000 XR to deftly tackle all riding conditions.

An investment of over 4.6 billion Baht year-to-date 2016 has been invested into expansion of plant Rayong in terms of assembling processes, aiming to meet growing customer demand. In addition, with approximately 4 billion Thai Baht representing the amount of annual purchasing in Thailand, the BMW Global Purchasing office has been established in Thailand. This is to source various components from local suppliers in Thailand and the broader ASEAN region, in order to supply the entire BMW production network of 31 production and assembly facilities, located in 14 countries worldwide.
As of 2016, BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand produces the following 19 models: BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, BMW 5 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5,
and MINI Countryman. For BMW Motorrad the BMW F 800 R, BMW F 800 GS, BMW F 700 GS, BMW R 1200 GS, BMW R 1200 GS Adventure, BMW F 800 GT, BMW S 1000 R, BMW S 1000 RR and BMW S 1000 XR are also locally assembled at the plant. In addition, BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand now assembles two BMW plug-in hybrid models; BMW 330e and BMW X5 xDrive40e.
Starting from May 2016, BMW Group Manufacturing Thailand’s assembly line capability has been expanded for the purpose of exporting the BMW X3 and BMW X5 to China as well.
