BMW i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition

Available for a limited period only, the BMW i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition is a 2+2-seater sports car with a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) passenger cell and efficient BMW eDrive technology. It sports
a Protonic Dark Silver paint finish and complemented by BMW W-spoke 470 light-alloy wheels painted in Orbit Grey metallic and mixed-size tires. Inside the inaugural special-edition i8, double-stitching and applications in high-grade carbon fiber and ceramic provide indications of its exceptional sporting character.

Featuring the BMW eDrive powertrain, which is seen as the ‘sports car powertrain of the future’, the BMW i8’s plug-in hybrid system comprises a 170 kW / 231 hp, 320 Nm three-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and a 96 kW / 131 hp, 250 Nm hybrid synchronous electric motor. In Sport mode the BMW i8 offers acceleration from 0–100 km/h sprint time of 4.4 seconds. The BMW i8 also offers every-day fuel economy substantially better than all conventional sports car concepts, delivering average fuel consumption of 47.6 km/liter and emitting CO2 at a rate of just 49 g/km.

Among the distinctions amassed by the BMW i8 are an International Engine of the Year award for both its TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine and overall hybrid drivetrain. The BMW i8 was also voted World Green Car of the Year and Green Luxury Car. And it received the Paul Pietsch Award presented by German motoring magazine “auto motor und sport” in recognition of the most innovative technical concept. No other vehicle has ever picked up such a large number of awards in such an array of different disciplines.

BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence with plug-in hybrid technology

Together with BMW eDrive innovation originally developed for BMW i, the BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence allows top-level driving pleasure, long-distance comfort and luxury to be experienced in combination with Carbon Core body structure and the high-voltage battery. The new BMW 7 Series model also represents the most rigorous implementation yet of Efficient Dynamics in vehicles from the BMW brand.

BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence brings together a 190kW/258hp BMW TwinPower Turbo combustion engine – the most powerful four-cylinder engine ever fitted in a series-produced BMW – and an electric drive system with a maximum output of 83kW/113hp to provide thrillingly instantaneous power delivery with a total system output of 240kW/326hp and a combined peak torque of 500Nm.

Furthermore, the electric motor takes on the role of a generator which – depending on the hybrid function selected – is powered either by recuperating braking energy or by efficiently raising the engine’s load points. It then feeds the energy it generates into the high-voltage battery. When operating only on electric power, BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence can cover a maximum range of 41 kilometres. The electric motor is fully integrated into the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. This ensures that pure-electric driving, the dynamics-enhancing electric boost function and the recuperation of braking energy are all extremely efficient.

Perfectly executed power distribution between the front and rear wheels gives BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence extremely dynamic accelerative ability, with the journey from rest to 100 km/h completed in 5.3 seconds yet the petrol consumption is just 45.5 kilometers per liters combined, while the associated CO2 emission is 49 grams per kilometer. The combined electric power consumption of BMW 740Le xDrive Pure Excellence in the EU test cycle comes in at between 13.9 and 13.2 kWh per 100 kilometers.

BMW M760Li xDrive Model V12 Excellence gives a debut to the new M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol engine. Concealed under a cover bearing “M Performance” lettering, the
6.6-litre V12 develops output of 448 kW/610 hp at 5,500-6,500 rpm and peak torque of 800 Nm at 1,550-5,000 rpm (fuel consumption combined: 8.2 km/l; CO2 emissions combined: 291 g/km).

The high-performance unit with leading-edge M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology accelerates BMW M760Li xDrive Model V12 Excellence from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Power transfer is via the eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, which has been specially adapted to the characteristics of the V12 engine.

In addition to being 100 kilograms lighter than its predecessor, the all-new BMW 5 Series sedan features a low center of gravity, BMW’s hallmark even weight distribution and lowest drag coefficient in its class, offering superior driving pleasure and extensive comfort for passengers.

The all-new BMW 5 Series also features the latest-generation iDrive system, telephone, entertainment features, and vehicle functions on a high-resolution screen. The system can be operated using the iDrive Controller, by voice command or gestures, or by touching the display controls directly.

Headlights of the all-new BMW 5 Series comes with Adaptive LED Headlights with variable light distribution including adaptive roundabout lights and BMW Selective Beam anti-dazzle high beam with a range of up to 500 meters.

Maximizing the levels of on-board comfort are extended storage options and greater legroom forrear-seat passengers. Special Synergy Thermoacoustic Capsule (SYNTAK) engine encapsulation technology bring about another noticeable reduction in noise levels inside the car.

The two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine powering BMW 520d Luxury develops 140 kW/190 hp and
a peak torque of 400 Nm. With the 8-speed Steptronic gearbox specified, its fuel consumption is
20.0 km/liter and CO2 emissions is 132 g/km. The sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and top speed is 235 km/h.

BMW 320d M Performance

Available for the first time in local assembly variant, the BMW 320d M Performance delivers a power output of up to 190hp at 4,000 rpm with combined fuel consumption at 27.0 km/l and combined CO2 emissions at only 99 g/km. The new eight-speed Steptronic transmission plays an important part in reducing CO2 emissions. Its improved efficiency, wider gear spread and reduced torque converter slip during gear shifts reduce CO2 emissions by 3%. For even greater driving pleasure, the eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission is available with steering wheel paddle shifters.

The BMW 320d M Performance stands out more than ever before with a design that offers even greater precision and various detail improvements thanks to the original M Performance accessories. With front splitter in black matt and 'Giugiaro' stickers at front and rear bumpers, drivers are roused by the vehicle’s sporting appearance. BMW 320d M Performance also comes with black high-gloss kidney grille and exterior mirror caps in carbon. The rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and sill attachment are in black matt with 'M Performance' sticker on sill attachment. While the BMW LED Door projector makes entering vehicle a great experience of its own.

At the front end, new aprons with revised air intakes accentuate the feeling of width, while the sculptural rear apron design and standard LED rear lights likewise emphasize the car’s sporting appearance. An innovative lighting concept, featuring newly designed headlights and striking LED daytime driving lights, ensure greatest visibility.

The comfort access system allows the unique key to be recognized remotely by the comfort access sensors. While the rain sensor ensures unimpeded vision at all times. Building on the success of BMW 3 Series line-up, BMW 320d GT Sport and BMW 320d GT Luxury add the latest of innovative technology, while combining the Sedan’s dynamic, sporting genes with the practicality and versatility of the Touring.The four-cylinder diesel is taken from the newly developed, modular BMW EfficientDynamics engine family and enjoy the benefits of cutting-edge BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The automatic transmissions, Auto Start/Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration, and the ECO PRO mode also help the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo to set the benchmark for fuel economy and emissions.Improvements in efficiency, an increase in ratio spread and a reduction in converter slip during the gear-change process bring about a three per cent drop in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

At 4,824 millimetres in length, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is around 200 millimetres longer than the other members of the BMW 3 Series family.
