The M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X6 M50d impresses with breath-taking dynamics and astonishing efficiency. This is due in no small part to a three-stage turbocharger with variable turbine geometry, which results in lightning-quick responsiveness.

The new generation of BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines is a testament to the rigorous application of the BMW EfficientDynamics philosophy, combining top marks in power generation and performance with low fuel consumption. The diesel engines are notable for their excellent responsiveness and agile power delivery at all engine speeds, as well as for their low fuel consumption. They are renowned for their outstanding efficiency and dynamics, producing very few emissions and friction in order to guarantee maximum driving pleasure. The new diesel engines in the BMW EfficientDynamics range feature lightweight aluminium construction and one, two or three turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. They also come with the very latest CommonRail direct injection, which guarantees optimum combustion to further reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.High torque is available even at low engine speeds, with a particularly wide rev range available.

Numerically speaking: 280 kW (381 hp). 740 Nm torque at 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Top speed of 250 km/h. The combined fuel consumption is 6.6 litres per 100 km, with average CO2 emissions of 174 g/km.

The diesel engine in the BMW X6 xDrive40d* boasts BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, 230 kW (313 hp) and maximum torque of 630 Nm. Thanks to twin turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, it offers exceptional performance: It can reach 100 km/h from a standing start in a mere 5.8* seconds and has a top speed of 240* km/h. In combination with Common Rail direct injection, it produces impressively low fuel consumption figures of just 6.3* to 6.2* l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 165* to 163* g/km.

The powerful BMW TwinPower Turbo 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW X6 xDrive30d generates 190 kW (258 hp). Maximum torque of 560 Nm at 1,500 to 3,000 rpm makes for impressive performance data: The BMW X6 xDrive30d can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 230 km/h.

All of this is achieved with fuel consumption of just 6.0 litres per 100 km. At 159 to 157 g/km, CO2 emissions are equally moderate.
