The BMW Navigation system Professional features an 8.8-inch monitor and a 3D map display. It is extremely easy to operate and guides you quickly and directly to your destination. Instructions are given visually as easy-to-follow arrows, and/or as clear verbal instructions over the sound system.

A digital map of the area can also be viewed from different angles and distances, offering a high-resolution zoom function for even better orientation (from 1000 km down to 100 m). The navigation system is controlled using the iDrive Controller. Often-used addresses can be saved directly on a favorites button for instant retrieval making your journey even more convenient.

Bluetooth interface for the BMW 7 Series.

The Bluetooth interface provides a wireless connection between the vehicle and Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones. The phones are operated via the hands-free kit, multifunction steering wheel, iDrive Controller or Voice Control. Your local BMW dealer will be happy to inform you about which mobile phone devices (and software versions) are compatible with the optional Bluetooth interface.

USB/audio interface for the BMW 7 Series.

How do you navigate through a library of 10,000 songs? Preferably on the road using the multifunction steering wheel or iDrive button. Almost all common MP3 players, USB sticks and iPods can be integrated effortlessly with the audio system. The title of the track being played is displayed either in iDrive or on the radio display. The internal hard drive operated via a USB 2.0 interface is integrated in the glove compartment, and players can be operated directly using the USB connection in the central console.

BMW is the first automobile manufacture to provide an interactive and multimedia Owner's Manual that is integrated in the vehicle. The hard drive saves animations, slideshows and language settings as well as information on fitted, optional equipment. Within seconds, the driver is able to access valuable information about their vehicle.

You can transfer music files to your BMW 7 Series from CDs, an MP3 player or a USB stick while the integrated hard drive has space for around 100 audio CDs. The 16 high-performance loudspeakers integrated in the BMW HiFi System Professional guarantee unparalleled quality of sound whether you are listening to the radio or your own music collection.

Rear-seat entertainment in the BMW 7 Series.

The new rear-seat entertainment professional with DVD player. TV tuner and hard drive access set new standards in entertaining travelling. Two 9.2 inches individual monitors are operated via separated iDrive controller and also be integrated with passenger laptops. Rear-seat occupants are also able to access the navigation system and additional iDrive functions.
