The iDrive control concept on the BMW 6 Series Coupe.

Maximum usability, minimum complexity: The new iDrive in the BMW 6 Series sets clear priorities. Controls for frequently used features - indicators, radio and telephone for example - are positioned around the steering wheel. Secondary functions - the address book, the TV function etc - are accessed via the iDrive Controller, with information displayed bright, high-contrast Control Display. Just as the 7 Series, the BMW 6 Series now features the new iDrive system with direct access buttons to the main functions making even more logical and intuitive. Moreover, eight "favourite" buttons in the centre console can be freely programmed: for example, to speed-dial a number, tune to a radio station or to access the CD/DVD menu.
