BMWTwinPower Turbo engines in the BMW 3 Series Sedan.

The latest injection technology, fully variable valve control performance control and latest-generation turbochargers: All petrol and diesel power plants from the BMW EfficientDynamics engine family offer impressive strength – and astonishingly low fuel consumption and emissions. BMW TWINPOWER TURBO 4-CYLINDER PETROL ENGINES.

The innovative BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine guarantees maximum driving pleasure thanks to agile power delivery and outstanding responsiveness at low engine speeds, all while being exceptionally fuel efficient and low in emissions.

 

The 4-cylinder petrol engine is a superb example of modern engine production. To enhance dynamics and efficiency, BMW uses TwinPower Turbo technology with Valvetronic fully variable valve control including Double-VANOS variable camshaft control and High-Precision Injection. This allows the engine to operate with an optimal power-efficiency factor in any load range, thereby lowering fuel consumption.

 

This engine is part of the EfficientDynamics range and generates, in the BMW 330i, for example, an output of 185 kW (252 hp), torque of 350 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9–5.8 seconds.

 

Combined fuel consumption: 6.5 to 5.5 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 151 to 129 g/km.

The BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine facilitates a markedly more agile power delivery and outstanding responsiveness even at low rpms, while being exceptionally fuel efficient and low in emissions. 

 

The engines from the new generation of the BMW EfficientDynamics engine family guarantee maximum driving pleasure thanks to improved performance over a wide range of engine speeds and a significant reduction in fuel consumption. 

 

The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine provides the perfect combination of efficiency and dynamics. 

 

Both are enhanced by BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, which combines the most recent, optimised turbocharging innovations with CommonRail direct injection and variable turbine geometry.

The high-efficiency plug-in hybrid vehicle BMW 330e with BMW EfficientDynamics eDrive technology combines purely electric, 100% local emission-free driving over short distances with dynamic performance. Core components include a 135 kW/184 hp BMW TwinPower 4-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor with 80 kW (108 hp) and a lithium-ion high-voltage battery with a capacity of 7.6 kWh.

All engines meet the EU6 emissions standard.
